Hi. I’m Jillian Walsh, RD, RP

I am the founder and Clinical Lead of Change Creates Change and I am a Registered Dietitian and Registered Psychotherapist.

I grew up in Newfoundland & Labrador and I am excited to have recently moved back to my hometown after a decade away on the mainland. I hope to support my local community by helping to bridge the gap in local eating disorder care and reduce wait times for services. I provide nutritional therapy, psychotherapy and Family-Based Treatment. As a Health Educator, I also train other health care providers in providing eating disorder care.

Jillian is currently accepting new clients from across Newfoundland & Labrador.

Services We Offer:

Individual Nutrition Therapy

One of our Registered Dietitians will meet with the patient to review their medical history, digestive symptoms, sleep patterns, activity levels, previous eating behaviours, food sensitivities and intolerances, current food intake, disordered eating behaviours, usual eating environment and more. From there, an eating disorder recovery plan is developed based on the patient’s individual needs.

Individual Psychotherapy

One of our Registered therapists will meet with the patients to review their perspective of the eating disorder and the reasons they are seeking help. A review of medical history, family history, mental health concerns, medications, treatment history, healthcare team, occupation, support system etc. will be completed. From there, an eating disorder recovery plan is developed based on the patient’s needs and capacity.

Family-Based Treatment (FBT)

Our Clinical Lead  Jillian works with children, teens, and their families, using the “gold standard” treatment approach for eating disorders, FBT. Emotion-focused Family Therapy (EFFT) may also be used as an adjunct therapy.

Fees

Fees range from $150-195 per hour. All services are tax deductible.
