Still Have Questions?
Clinical supervision is a mutual agreement between one professional, the supervisee, and another professional, a supervisor. The goal of this agreement is to support the development of the supervisee's clinical and professional competency.
Unlike therapists and counsellors, dietitians and other allied health care providers do not have a regulatory requirement for clinical supervision. However, all health care providers can benefit from case review, consultation and continuing education. Many regulatory bodies will accept clinical consultation hours towards continuing education requirements.
Clinical supervision is provided when 1) Supervisees are working towards full membership with a regulatory college/body OR a professional association; 2) Supervisees are working towards a designation in a specialized field of supervised practice; and 3) Supervisees are developing new areas of competency in clinical practice at any point in their clinical career as part of their ongoing professional development.
Yes! We are able to provide Clinical Supervision to dietitians in the United States as well as Canada.
